Using What You Know to Write a Mystery: Been a housewife? A domestic worker? Single parent? Lived in a creepy old house? You think your life's been boring--but exciting plots are buried in your own expertise. Finding the clues to the novel only you can write. A Program from "Sisters in Crime".

"Sisters in Crime New England" is a chapter of the international organization Sisters in Crime. We are authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers and librarians bound by our passion for the mystery genre and our support of women who write mysteries. http://www.sincne.org/

Connie Johnson Hambley grew up on a small dairy farm just north of New York City. When she was a young girl, an arsonist burned her family’s barn to the ground. From that experience grew the stories that have become "The Charity" and "The Troubles."

J.E. is an active member of a writers' group with other published authors. In addition to being a member of Mystery Writers of America and Sisters in Crime, she is the markets coordinator for the Short Mystery Fiction Society.  J.E. Seymour lives and writes in southeast New Hampshire. Barking Rain Press will release two of her novels in the summer of 2014, "Stress Fractures" and a 2nd edition of "Lead Poisoning.

Cathy Brown-Strasser is an Occupational Therapist who lives in NH, and an author whose first book, "An Uncertain Grave", has been published by Oak Tree Press. It is a humoroushiking mystery set in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
